Companies in Receivership
The Receivership Section manages, monitors, advises and reports on the operations of Missouri-domiciled insurers in rehabilitation or liquidation.
When an insurer is financially impaired or asks to be dissolved, the Insurance director may petition an appropriate circuit court to appoint the director as receiver to take control of the insurer and administer the insurer's property and operations for the benefit of the policyholders, creditors, and owners, subject to provisions of Sections 375.1150 to 375.1246 of the Missouri Revised Statutes.
