On Dec. 28 DIFP held an open hearing to discuss the implementation of medical loss ratio requirements under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The purpose of the meeting was to invite public comment on whether implementation of the requirements could cause a disruption in Missouri’s health insurance marketplace and if so, whether the department should request an adjustment to implementation of the medical loss ratio requirements.
