Missouri Director of Insurance named treasurer of the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission

Jefferson City, Mo– Chlora Lindley-Myers, the Missouri Director of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration, was elected treasurer of the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (IIPRC) at its Annual Meeting in San Francisco. The Insurance Compact also selected Ohio Insurance Director Jillian Froment as chair and Rhode Island Insurance Superintendent Beth Dwyer as vice chair.

The Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission serves insurance regulators, consumers and providers by improving efficiency and effectiveness in the insurance marketplace. In 2019, the Insurance Compact will undertake the development of new Uniform Standards for group annuity products, and updating its procedures to possibly expand use of Compact-approved products for non-employer groups.

"I appreciate this opportunity to serve as a Compact Officer," said Lindley-Myers. “As treasurer, I will work with the Insurance Compact office to monitor and report on the impact of the changes in the 2019 Annual Budget including expansion of the categories for registered companies, an expedited review pilot program and the addition of new reviewer resources.”
