Jefferson City, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Insurance announced today the public hearing on Anthem’s proposed acquisition of Cigna scheduled for Thursday, November 17, 2016, has been postponed and will be reset at a later date upon the request of the parties.  Anthem and Cigna stated in their request that they wanted the hearing postponed because they are preparing for the federal trial involving the acquisition.

The requirement that interested persons file a written entry of appearance and/or notification  of intent to participate by November 10, 2016 or submit written comments by November 23, 2016 is put on hold pending further order.  However written comments may still be submitted.
