Market Regulation Filing Disapproval Actions
The Division of Market Regulation of the Department of Commerce and Insurance (“the Department”) is responsible for reviewing insurance products to determine compliance with Missouri insurance law. This review is done for specified life, health, property, and casualty insurance products, and the reviews are performed under the requirements and standards set forth in Missouri law.
For some types of insurance, the Department is required to either disapprove a product it determines is not compliant with Missouri law or petition the Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission to disapprove what it believes to be non-compliant product.
In an effort to make public records more accessible to the public, the Department is pleased to offer the public a means to review actions taken by the Department to disapprove insurance company product filings.
