Requirements
To qualify for a limited lines self-service storage insurance producer license, you must satisfy these requirements:
- Be 18 or older.
- Have not committed any act that is ground for denial, suspension, or revocation set forth in Section 375.141, RSMo.
- Have paid a license fee of $100.00.
- Have completed a qualified training program that has been filed with and approved by the director.

Qualified Training Program
The department will update the list of qualified training programs after they are submitted, reviewed, and approved.

Program of Instruction or Training for Employees and Authorized Representatives
The limited lines self-service storage insurance producer shall require each employee and authorized representative of the limited line self-service storage insurance producer to receive a program of instruction or training that has been reviewed and approved by the director. The training material shall, at a minimum, contain instructions on the types of insurance offered, ethical sales practices, and required disclosures to prospective customers. The limited lines self-service storage insurance producer may use a program of instruction or training for employees and authorized representatives created by self-service storage insurers, third parties or by the limited lines self-service storage insurance producer themselves that has been reviewed and approved by the director.

To submit a qualified training program for a limited lines self-service storage insurance producer and/or a program of instruction or training for employees and authorized representatives for the director’s review and approval, documentation of the proposed training (outlines, materials, etc.) should be sent to:
